Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse is a compact 6.8-hectare estate on Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau, with south- and south-west-facing vines rooted in clay-limestone soils. The property remained with the Duffau-Lagarrosse family from 1847 until a change of ownership in April 2021. It is now led by Prisca Courtin and Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse, a partnership that carries family memory into a new chapter.
Beauséjour has belonged to Saint-Émilion’s first classified tier since the classification began in 1955 and appears among the Premiers Grands Crus Classés in the 2022 list. Merlot provides the vineyard’s core, with Cabernet Franc alongside; every parcel is picked by hand before fermentation in concrete. Its appeal is rooted in proportion rather than scale: old vines, a narrow strip of limestone and a deliberately focused expression of place.

French Red
Blueberry, black raspberry and ripe plum lead a dense, expressive bouquet. Violet, crushed stone and camphor add lift, while liquorice, tobacco and warm spice bring savoury depth. The palate is full and richly layered, its generous fruit framed by supple tannins and fresh mineral energy. Long and composed, it finishes with dark berries, earth, spice and a persistent floral note.
