Vincenzo Spinelli established the family winery in the early 1970s in the Val di Sangro hills of southern Abruzzo. His sons Carlo and Adriano joined full-time in the 1980s, and the family still runs the business, working with growers across Abruzzo. Based at Atessa between the Maiella massif and the Adriatic coast, Spinelli makes wines from regional grapes including Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina and Trebbiano.

Ripe red fruit meets violet, rose and sweet spice. The wine is structured, warm and full, with a dry profile and a fresh acidic line. Intense ruby colour carries purple reflections, while the aroma remains distinctly fruit-led. Balance accompanies the structure. Made from Montepulciano in Abruzzo, it contains 12 percent alcohol and is closed with a screwcap.
