AboutCannery Brewing

Cannery Brewing was founded in 2000 by brewmaster Terry Schoffer and restaurateurs Ron and Patt Dyck, who had spent 23 years running Naramata’s Country Squire Restaurant. Its name comes from the old Aylmer fruit and vegetable cannery in Penticton, where the first batch of beer was brewed on April 1, 2001. The brewery began by supplying kegs to local restaurants and pubs, later adding bottles and cans.

A new Penticton brewery and taproom opened in 2015. The ownership team also includes Ron and Patt’s son Ian and longtime brewer Ross Thompson.

Cannery Brewing Naramata Nut Brown Ale

Canadian Beer
$4.99

Deep brown and full-bodied, this soft ale layers caramel, molasses, toasted nuts and dried fruit over rich dark malt. Gentle roasted-barley character and mild hop bitterness keep the palate balanced, leading to a smooth, lingering finish. Serve cool with roast pork, grilled mushrooms, aged cheddar or pecan pie; the rounded malt profile is generous without becoming heavy.

Cannery Brewing Heist Maple Stout

Canadian Beer
$4.49

Dark and roasty, this stout combines coffee-toned malt with vanilla and a distinct maple-syrup character. The palate is rich without becoming unwieldy, moving from sweet maple and roasted grain toward a lightly bitter finish. Allowing it to warm slightly brings the aromatics into clearer focus. Serve cool with smoked brisket, aged cheddar, maple-glazed pork, chocolate desserts or toasted pecans.

Cannery Brewing Trellis IPA

Canadian Beer
$4.99

Generous hop flavour and aroma lead this approachable American IPA, supported by a measured line of biscuity malt sweetness. The palate stays drinkable and balanced without sacrificing complexity, carrying its hop character clearly into the finish. Serve cold with burgers, grilled sausages, roast chicken, spicy tacos, sharp cheddar, onion rings, roasted peppers, pickles or herb-seasoned fries.
