AboutCagliero

Cagliero farms about six hectares in Barolo, including parcels in the Ravera and Terlo vineyards. Its south- and southeast-facing slopes lie around 300 metres above sea level, with marl and sandy soils.

The wines are made from estate-grown grapes, with bunches thinned before harvest. Fruit from Ravera and Terlo is vinified separately for Barolo, which is usually aged in large Slavonian oak casks. Alongside the reds, Cagliero also makes white, rosé and sparkling wines from its own vineyards.

Cagliero 2024 Rabel Langhe Bianco

Italian White
$19.99

Straw colour shows green reflections. Aromatic herbs, wildflowers, fruit and citrus shape a dry, full and complex profile with lively acidity and balance. Arneis, Favorita and Sauvignon Blanc are softly pressed together before fermentation in stainless steel. The wine remains unoaked and spends six months in steel with bâtonnage, retaining the freshness of this white blend from the Langhe.
