Borgogno 2023 Langhe Bompè Barbera
Italian Red
Red berries, forest fruit, smoky notes and salinity shape this Barbera. The fruit comes from the Bompè plot at Madonna di Como in the Langhe, where vines grow on sandy, chalky soils with abundant stones. Grapes are harvested by hand and ferment spontaneously in cement for about ten days. Ageing lasts one year in large, lightly toasted French oak barrels.
Borgogno 2022 No Name Langhe Nebbiolo DOC
Italian Red
Ruby-red colour with garnet highlights accompanies violet, rose, ripe fruit and spice. The palate is velvety and balanced, with polished tannins and earthy flavours. Nebbiolo accounts for the entire composition. Maturation lasts at least three years in cask and six months in bottle. The fruit comes from vineyards around Barolo with south, southeast and southwest exposures on calcareous-clay soils.
Borgogno 2022 Era Ora Langhe Riesling
Italian White
Petrol, quince and roasted peach appear with soft floral notes in a bone-dry Riesling. Yellow stone fruit and bright acidity accompany a wet-stone finish. Lime, apricot, yellow plum, hawthorn and menthol add further detail. Fermentation takes place mainly in steel, with a smaller oak portion, followed by time on fine lees, in steel and in bottle.
Borgogno Cannubi 2019 Barolo
Italian Red
Fragrant red berries and cherry open with rose petal, rosemary and a cool herbal lift. As it unfolds, fresh leather, liquorice and a gentle savoury note add depth. The palate is graceful and finely balanced, with bright acidity and supple tannins carrying the fruit without heaviness. A subtle mineral edge sharpens the middle. The finish is floral and persistent, leaving raspberry, herbs and quiet earthy detail.
