AboutBOND

William Harlan founded BOND to make Cabernet Sauvignon from selected hillside vineyards in Napa Valley. After working with more than eighty vineyards over roughly twenty-five years, the team settled on five sites of seven to eleven acres each: Melbury, Quella, St Eden, Vecina and Pluribus.

Each is bottled as a separate Cabernet, reflecting differences in soil, elevation and exposure. Winemaker Cory Empting works with founding winemaker Robert Levy and a dedicated vineyard team.

BOND 2013 Quella Napa Valley

American Red
$1,599.99

Ripe blueberry and fresh blackberry are joined by plum, black pepper, liquorice and graphite. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with juicy acidity, focused tannins and a mineral, earthy finish. Notes of truffle and damp soil add savoury complexity beneath the concentrated fruit. This remains structured, so give it time in a decanter and serve with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs or roast lamb.
