AboutBodegas Valdemar
Valdemar’s Rioja history begins in Oyón in 1889, where the first generation made wine in a small stone cellar. Bodegas Valdemar took its present form in the 1980s; Ana and Jesús Martínez Bujanda now represent the fifth generation.
The vineyards span Rioja’s three subzones, and the family’s work has included barrel-fermented white wines and experiments with Graciano, Maturana and Tempranillo Blanco. Biodiversity is part of the fifth generation’s approach to managing the vineyards.
