AboutBodegas Ortega Ezquerro
Four generations of the Ortega Ezquerro family have grown grapes in Tudelilla, in Rioja Oriental, where Carmelo Ezquerro now leads the winery. The vineyards include old bush vines in La Pedriza, a landscape of rounded stones and dry clay-limestone soils sheltered by the Sierra de la Hez. The family also farms newer, trellised plantings alongside these older plots.
Bodegas Ortega Ezquerro 2019 Don Quintín Ortega Rioja Tinto
Dark berry fruit and graphite open with a lifted balsamic edge. The palate is rich and concentrated but stays fresh, its supple texture framed by fine, elegant tannins. Oak brings measured savoury depth without masking the fruit, and the finish lingers with dark mineral detail. Serve with grilled lamb, roast beef or mushrooms cooked with herbs.
Bodegas Ortega Ezquerro 2022 Don Quintín Ortega Rioja Blanco
Ripe lemon and spice lead a full, creamy palate, with waxy citrus and a light note of lanolin adding depth. Bright acidity keeps the richness in focus, and the finish is long, dry and neatly balanced. Serve with roast poultry, richer seafood, mushrooms or firm cheeses.
Don Quintin Ortega 2023 Joven
Red berry fruit meets gentle spice, vanilla and a savoury oak note. The palate is rounded and structured, with supple tannins and a long, balanced finish. Serve with poultry, pasta, pizza or grilled meat.
