AboutBodegas Muga

Bodegas Muga was founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño, and three generations of the family have carried the winery forward. It occupies a two-hundred-year-old building in Haro’s Station Quarter, with vineyards in Rioja Alta.

Muga has its own barrel-making workshop, where coopers make vats and casks from French and American oak. Oak is used for both fermentation and ageing, alongside traditional cellar practices such as moving wine by gravity and clarifying it with fresh egg whites.

Muga 2022 Rosado

Spanish Rosé
$31.99
Pale rose-pink colour accompanies peach, strawberry and white blossom. The palate has integrated acidity, volume and balanced fruit, followed by a very long finish and an aftertaste of stone fruit and citrus. Garnacha and Viura come from calcareous-clay and ferrous-clay soils. After five hours of light press maceration, fermentation lasts fifteen to twenty days, followed by sixteen weeks on fine lees.
