AboutBodega de Sada
Bodega de Sada is a cooperative founded in 1939, when local growers built a shared cellar after finishing their work in the fields. The cellar expanded in 1946 and 1965, with stainless steel introduced in the 1980s and dedicated ageing and bottling facilities in the early 2000s. The winery remains closely bound to a tiny Pre-Pyrenean village where winegrowing has long helped sustain rural life.
Its 325 hectares are divided among 148 small parcels around Sada, largely dry-farmed Garnacha and including many old bush vines. Cold air from the Pyrenees lengthens ripening at this northern edge of Navarra, giving the fruit time to develop without losing freshness. Parcels are vinified separately according to soil, variety and vine age.
