AboutBodega Santa Julia
Santa Julia grew from the Zuccardi family’s 1963 vineyard in Maipú, planted by engineer Alberto ‘Tito’ Zuccardi to demonstrate an irrigation system he had designed for Mendoza. The winery was named for José Zuccardi’s only daughter, Julia. A small experimental winery opened in 1997, and successive generations kept using Santa Julia as a place to explore unfamiliar grape varieties and new ways of working.
Composting, organic vineyard programmes, education, childcare and community initiatives have developed alongside the wines. A natural-wine line arrived in 2020.
Santa Julia 2024 Chenin Blanc
Argentinian White
White fruit, floral and mineral notes shape this dry Chenin. The body is light, the texture delicate and the acidity lively, with no oak influence. Apricot and peach also appear, while the finish is fruity. The wine is made entirely from Chenin grown in Mendoza and contains 12.5 percent alcohol with 1.7 grams per litre of sugar.
Santa Julia 2024 Pinot Grigio
Argentinian White
Sliced peach, pear and green apple lead, with melon, pineapple and delicate floral notes adding lift. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, balancing ripe fruit with lively acidity and a smooth, clean texture. Citrus and a subtle mineral note extend the finish, making it an easy match for seafood, salads, roast chicken or mild cheeses.
