AboutBodega Garzón
Alejandro and Bettina Bulgheroni developed Bodega Garzón in the hills of Uruguay with consulting winemaker Alberto Antonini. The winery follows the natural terraces of the hillside, allowing grapes and wine to move through its levels by gravity.
On-site wind and solar generation help supply its energy. The building is LEED certified, and the cellar uses stainless steel, concrete and large oak vats.
Bodega Garzón 2020 Balasto Maldonado Red Blend
Fresh red and black fruit lead with licorice, graphite, tobacco and lifted spice. The palate is vibrant and full-bodied, its concentrated fruit held by fine, persistent tannins and a firm mineral line. Orange blossom and subtle chile notes add aromatic detail, while restrained oak supports the structure. The finish is long and focused, carrying dark fruit, spice and stony savoury depth with polished tension.
Garzón 2023 Reserva Albariño
Pale yellow with green reflections, with peach and citrus aromas bringing a clean, lively lift. The palate is fresh and mineral, shaped by marked acidity and a rounded texture from time on fine lees. Bright citrus carries through a long finish, where stony detail and ripe orchard fruit remain in balance.
