Bladnoch

Dried cherry, dark fruit and polished oak lead, followed by coffee, vanilla and toffee. The palate is smooth but structured, layering marmalade, prune and liquorice over warm cinnamon spice. Initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks gives a honeyed core, while a ten-month finish in Californian red-wine casks brings depth and a gently vinous edge. The finish is long, fruity and warming, with oak spice and dark fruit lingering. Serve neat, with water added gradually if desired.
