AboutBarrialto
Barrialto is the small Sanlúcar project of Rafael Rodríguez, a third-generation grower who combines vineyard work with his profession as a building surveyor. In 2019 he began converting a former tavern in the Barrio Alto into a micro-winery; the neighbourhood supplied the name.
Rodríguez works mainly with old, bush-trained Palomino vines around Sanlúcar and El Puerto de Santa María. His unfortified white wines ferment spontaneously with native yeasts, often in separate lots by vineyard and soil type. The cellar also uses old manzanilla casks.
Barrialto Vino De Mesa Blanco
Spanish White
An easygoing white with citrus, green apple and subtle floral notes. The palate is light and clean, with soft acidity and a crisp, refreshing finish that keeps the fruit straightforward. Made for uncomplicated drinking, it works well as an aperitif or with salads, mild cheese, simple seafood and lightly seasoned vegetable dishes.
