Babich Wines
Babich 2025 Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay
Ripe rock melon, peach, apricot, citrus, honeydew melon, canned pear and brown spice form a fruit-driven profile. The texture is creamy, with a subtle butterscotch note on the finish. Fruit from Gimblett Gravels and Fernhill is pressed into stainless steel and fermented without oak. Fourteen percent of the wine completes malolactic fermentation. Alcohol is thirteen-point-five percent.
Babich 2015 Black Label Sauvignon Blanc
Passion fruit, citrus and blackcurrant lead, with fresh herbs and a subtle mineral note bringing definition. The palate is concentrated yet lively, combining ripe tropical fruit with bright acidity and a gently rounded texture. A long, clean finish keeps the wine poised and refreshing, with enough depth for grilled prawns, goat cheese or herb-led chicken dishes.
Babich 2025 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Passion fruit and grapefruit open with blackcurrant, citrus and a fresh nettle-like lift. The palate is juicy and vibrant, carrying tropical fruit over a cool slate note and clean acidity. A lightly herbal edge keeps the ripe fruit precise, while the crisp finish stays bright and direct. Well suited to shellfish, summer salads or fresh goat cheese.
