Babich Wines began in 1916, when Croatian-born Josip Babich made and sold his first New Zealand wine in the northern gumfields. The family moved to Henderson in 1919, and Babich is now led by chief executive David Babich. The winery draws on its own vineyards and long-standing grower relationships across Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Auckland.
