AboutAveraen
Averaen took shape at Oregon’s International Pinot Noir Celebration in 2013, when the team behind Banshee Wines began comparing the Willamette Valley with the cool, Pacific-influenced Sonoma Coast. The team spent the next two years meeting growers, securing fruit and finding a cellar partner. Its first wine, a 2015 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir sourced from eight vineyards, was released in 2016.
Long-term relationships with growers remain central to Averaen’s winemaking. Pinot Noir accounts for most of its production, alongside Chardonnay, Riesling and rosé.

American Red
Dark cherry and strawberry meet earth, cracked pepper and a quiet thread of vanilla. Medium-bodied with fine tannins, the palate combines ripe fruit with fresh acidity and a gently plush texture. Tea, clove and anise add savoury complexity through the finish. Pair with duck, roast chicken, salmon or mushroom dishes.
