AboutAuchroisk
Auchroisk began distilling near Mulben in Speyside on 15 January 1974. Created to supply malt for the J&B blend, it spent much of its early life out of public view. Its single malts first appeared in 1986 as The Singleton of Auchroisk; bottlings returned to the Auchroisk name in 2001.
The Singleton of Auchroisk 1983 10 Year Old
Whisky
Soft and honeyed, opening with green grape skin, acacia blossom and ripe plum. The palate is smooth and lightly framed, with honey water, orange peel and a gentle walnut note bringing sweetness and subtle bitterness into balance. Sherry-cask influence shows as rounded fruit rather than weight or dense spice. The finish is concise and mellow, returning to honey, citrus peel and a clean, slightly nutty fade.
