AboutAppleton Estate

Appleton Estate’s rum history in Jamaica’s Nassau Valley reaches to its first recorded distillation in 1749. Limestone beneath the estate naturally filters rainwater, and distillation, ageing and blending take place on the estate.

Appleton uses copper pot and column stills and matures its rum in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. Joy Spence joined as chief chemist in 1981 and became Master Blender in 1997, the first woman appointed to that role in the spirits industry.

Jamaican Rum
$249.99
Orange peel, deep vanilla and nutmeg shape an aromatic opening, followed by coffee, cocoa and gentle oak spice. The palate is polished and layered, balancing citrus brightness with darker roasted notes and a restrained nutty richness. Brown sugar sweetness builds gradually without becoming heavy. The finish is long and composed, leaving orange, cocoa, warm spice and a clean, softly dry impression.
