AboutAmalaya
Amalaya was founded in 2010 in Argentina’s Calchaquí Valley, a dramatic high-altitude landscape where dry conditions, intense sunlight and cool nights shape the vineyards around Cafayate. The name means “hope for a miracle” in an Indigenous language of the region, a reference to farming vines in this demanding environment. The winery works with organically grown grapes and uses drip irrigation.
Amalaya 2024 Salta Malbec
Argentinian Red
Ripe raspberry and cherry lead, with violet, gentle spice and a touch of cocoa adding lift and depth. The palate is fresh and generous rather than heavy, framed by soft, rounded tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. Its balance of bright fruit and savoury warmth makes it an easy fit for grilled meats or vegetable dishes.
