Alderlea Vineyards was founded by Roger and Nancy Dosman in the Cowichan Valley; Zac Brown and Julie Powell purchased the winery in April 2017. The current owner-operators brought long corporate careers and years of practical winemaking experience to an established vineyard near Duncan, overlooking Quamichan Lake.
The estate grows Bacchus, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and other varieties, with its whites fermented in stainless steel and given extended lees contact for a dry, crisp and aromatic style.

Gooseberry and freshly cut grass lead a bright, aromatic nose. Zesty lime and crisp green apple carry through the palate, where lively acidity gives the wine a clean, refreshing shape. The fruit is fully ripened before a cool fermentation, preserving clarity and lift. Serve well chilled with goat cheese, fresh oysters, grilled prawns or herb-led salads.

Heady floral and citrus aromas open into juicy kiwi and ripe apricot. The palate is clean and crisp, with mature-vine fruit giving the wine more presence than its refreshing profile first suggests. Balanced acidity keeps everything bright and direct, carrying orchard fruit, citrus and a light floral echo through a fresh, poised and gently persistent finish.
