Abandoned Rail opened beside Penticton’s Kettle Valley Rail Trail in March 2022, founded by Nicole and Scott Breier with German-trained brewmaster Peter Schulz. The family-run brewery takes its name from the trail-side location. Its European-inspired range includes beers made with barley grown on five acres of the property.
Abandoned Rail Vier Barrel-Aged Golden Plum Maibock

Ripe golden plum and apricot give this barrel-aged lager a generous fruit core, while soft oak and a measured touch of vanilla keep the profile polished and composed. The palate is rich yet balanced, with malt carrying the orchard fruit into a smooth finish. Serve well chilled with roast pork, grilled sausages, alpine cheese or a lightly caramelized fruit tart.
