Moscatel
Moscatel
Lustau Moscatel Emilín Solera Familiar 375 mL
Dark mahogany colour with an iodine-toned rim accompanies intense floral and citrus aromas. Dried fruit and spice shape a smooth, rich palate whose considerable sweetness is balanced by natural acidity. Made entirely from Moscatel grown at Las Cruces vineyard in Chipiona, the wine matures for eight years in Jerez de la Frontera. Serve lightly chilled with citrus desserts, pastries or rich fruit cake.
Clos de Luz 2020 Agreste País-Moscatel
Cherry red and lightly cloudy because it is unfiltered, this País and Moscatel blend offers gentle strawberry, sour cherry, damp earth, stem and sweet-spice notes. The palate is flavourful and light, with gentle tannins, hay and fruit. The grapes come from an old vineyard in Almahue, Cachapoal, and the wine spent ten months in used barrels.
Pepe Mendoza 2021 Pequeñas Producciones Tinaja de Padilla Velo de Flor Alicante
Scrubland, jasmine and night-blooming jasmine accompany a dry, chalky and saline profile. Macabeo and Merseguera each account for forty-eight percent of the blend, with four percent Moscatel. The varieties are fermented separately with native yeasts, then blended and matured for six months in small Padilla amphorae. A naturally developing layer of flor shapes four months of the ageing. Production totals 3,500 bottles.
Ilha do Pico 2022 Terras de Lava Branco
Energetic and savoury, with a taut line of acidity and pronounced salinity defining the palate. Arinto dos Acores provides the core, supported by Fernao Pires, Verdejo and Moscatel for a layered, maritime profile. Clean and focused through the finish, it is a natural fit with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish or simply dressed vegetables.
