Incrocio Manzoni

Made entirely from Incrocio Manzoni, this white wine is vinified with its skins in cement and rests for twelve months in acacia casks. Olive oil and fresh bread appear with mimosa, acacia honey and soft moss. The profile has both vigour and liveliness, while the wine carries eleven-and-a-half percent alcohol. Skin contact lasts about one week.

Cloudy and gently aromatic, with clementine, lime and a touch of honey leading into candied ginger and soft stone fruit. The palate is juicy and lightly tannic, balancing lively citrus with a mild bitter edge and a savoury, textured finish. Characterful but easy-going, it suits spiced vegetables, cured meats or washed-rind cheese.
