Taurasi DOCG

Cherry, baked raspberry, plum and black berries appear with Mediterranean herbs, clove, brown pepper, tobacco, pencil shavings, liquorice, smoke and balsamic notes. The palate is full and fresh, with ripe, dense tannins and a long finish. Aglianico grows at Montemarano on chalky, clay-rich and stony soils at about 550 metres. The grapes are harvested by hand in early November. The wine matures in oak and bottle.

Cherry, violet and wild berries shape an intense, aromatic opening, followed by plum, black cherry, strawberry and warm spice. The palate is full and composed, with generous fruit, balanced structure and a lingering savoury edge. A poised southern Italian red for slow-cooked ragout, roast beef, porcini mushrooms or mature cheese.
