Brilliant ruby-red colour appears with tobacco, leather and dried orange. The taste has precision and fine tannins, with silky, slender and persistent character. Made entirely from Sagrantino, the wine also shows undergrowth, black cherry and blackberry. It is tannic but soft, full-bodied and elegant. Maturation includes two years in barrique and two years in bottle. The vineyard sits at 500 metres on limestone and clay soil.
