Rocca delle Macìe 2010 Campo Maccione Vermentino Maremma
Italian White
Made entirely from Vermentino, this white comes from the Maremma area of Tuscany. Citrus, kiwi, fine herbs and green tea appear in a fresh profile, with lively acidity across the palate. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by a short period in tank. Suggested pairings include prawns with pasta, roast chicken, vegetables and fresh herbs.

Bright ruby-red colour has violet hues. Red fruit, cherry and violet aromas accompany a medium-bodied palate with ripe fruit, soft round tannins and a high-energy mouthfeel. The wine is lean and clean, with acidity and alcohol in balance. Made entirely from Ciliegiolo grown in Maremma, Tuscany, it contains thirteen percent alcohol and can accompany chicken or pork tenderloin.

Italian Red
Cherry, blackberry, eucalyptus, rosemary, menthol and mineral notes are present. The palate is fresh and soft, with round tannins and a long finish. The blend is fifty percent Sangioveto, twenty-five percent Cabernet Sauvignon and twenty-five percent Merlot. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel. Maturation uses fifty percent new barriques for eighteen months, followed by nine months in bottle.

Italian Red
Plum and red-berry aromas are joined by liquorice. The blend combines Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by twelve months in French-oak barriques and tonneaux and several months in concrete. The vineyards lie at Mongibello delle Mandorlaie in southern Maremma, on predominantly sandy soils rich in limestone and clay.

Italian Red
Intense ruby with garnet hints, combining strength, intensity and elegance. The wine has soft tannins, a round mouthfeel, fruit and spice notes, depth and lively balance. The blend is 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Fermentation takes place in steel, followed by malolactic fermentation, fourteen months in barriques—80% new—and another eleven months in bottle.
