Brambleberry bake, brown sugar, vanilla, dark cherry and cassis appear alongside triple berry, candied orange rind, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and eucalyptus. The Pinot Noir was picked in mid-October and fermented in two- and five-ton open-top fermenters. It spent eleven months in French oak: 21% new, 14% one-year-old and the balance neutral. The release comes from Lake Country.

Butter, fresh citrus and measured oak open the nose. The palate is smooth and rounded, with orange marmalade bringing a gently bittersweet richness through the middle. A firm oak frame gives the wine shape without overwhelming the fruit, while clean citrus freshness carries the flavours into a lingering, softly textured finish.
