Gevrey-Chambertin
Domaine Henri Rebourseau 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin
Crunchy red fruit and sweet spice appear in a medium-bodied Pinot Noir. The blend draws on village parcels including La Brunelle, Aux Corvées, Sylvie and Champs-Chenys. La Brunelle covers 2.78 hectares; its brown surface soils sit above limestone gravel, with sand and clay two metres down. The estate’s Aux Corvées parcel covers 2.35 hectares and has relatively deep soil.
Domaine Les Astrelles 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin
Pinot Noir comes from three small lieux-dits. The nose is compact, while the mouth is direct and fluid, gaining intensity through the middle. The flavour is persistent and the profile is delicious. The bottling carries the Gevrey-Chambertin village appellation and is certified organic. During this growing season, the domaine harvested the cuvée without using whole clusters.
Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes
Ripe fruit and plum open the aroma, joined by spice, pepper and a light toasted note. The palate is fresh and fruit-driven, with red fruit, gooseberry and blueberry set against further spice. The structure is firm enough to carry the fruit while preserving its freshness. The finish continues with berry, pepper and spice, following the exact-vintage merchant description closely.
Château de Laborde 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir
Dark cherry and blackberry open with forest-floor earthiness and a measured thread of spice. The palate is bold and concentrated, with rich black fruit carried by firm, ripe tannins and steady freshness. Savoury detail gives the dense centre definition without making it heavy. The finish is structured and persistent, returning to dark fruit, spice and a gently earthy note.
Laurent Ponsot 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée de l’Aulne
Strawberry and raspberry lead a lightly floral nose, with darker currant, soft earth, cedar and a whisper of wild herbs underneath. The palate is sleek and medium-bodied, combining fresh red fruit with savoury spice and a clear mineral line. Fine volume builds through the middle before a firmer, gently rustic finish brings shape and length. Give it time in a decanter and serve with duck, roast chicken or mushroom dishes.
Remoissenet 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 3L
Earth and dark berries lead the nose, with oak adding a restrained savoury frame. Firmly structured on the palate, the fruit has enough depth to balance the wine’s steady grip and grounded character. The finish is composed, persistent and gently wooded. Give it air before serving with roast lamb, braised beef or wild mushrooms.
Remoissenet Père et Fils 2019 Gevrey Chambertin Mg
A full-bodied Pinot Noir with vivid strawberry, mulberry and violet aromas, deepening toward liquorice, leather and forest floor as it evolves. Firm structure and velvety tannins frame a rich, finely textured palate, with enough breadth and freshness for the cellar. A natural partner for lamb, game or strong cow’s-milk cheeses.
Remoissenet 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin
Black fruit, forest floor and a measured touch of oak define a firm, classically savoury profile. The palate is well built and structured, with enough fruit at the core to keep the earthy character generous rather than austere. A steady grip carries through the finish. Decant briefly and pair with duck, lamb or mushroom dishes.
Remoissenet Pere & Fils 1967 Gevrey-Chambertin
Earthy and silk-textured, with mature fruit carried by elevated acidity and a lively, sappy line. The palate is leaner than a youthful bottle but remains clear, energetic and savoury, with its fine texture giving the wine quiet elegance. Bottle variation is expected at this age; stand upright before opening and decant gently only if needed, then serve with roast poultry or mushrooms.
