Etna Rosso DOC

Sour cherry and wild strawberry lead, with violet, vanilla and cracked pepper adding lift. Fleshy and smooth on entry, the palate gains savoury definition from rhubarb, iron and a light earthy note. Fresh acidity keeps the fruit clear while fine, measured tannins carry the wine through a composed, gently spicy finish.

Ripe wild berries, cherry and pomegranate sit with black pepper, sweet tobacco and a smoky volcanic-stone note. The palate has silky tannins, lively acidity, freshness and persistence. Nerello Mascalese is destemmed and fermented on skins in stainless steel for twelve to fifteen days. Maturation lasts six months in stainless steel and twelve months in 20-hectolitre oak barrels.

Dried raspberry, cranberry and woodland berries open the nose, joined by Mediterranean herbs, camphor, white pepper and wet stone. The palate is focused and energetic, with crisp freshness and fine, closely woven tannins. Earthy spice and a mineral line carry the red fruit through a dry, persistent finish with clear volcanic character.
