Portuguese Red
Made entirely from Baga, the wine brings together red cherry, strawberry, savoury herbs and mineral notes in a fresh, bright profile. The grapes grow on limestone soils under organic and biodynamic farming. They are destemmed, fermented carbonically and matured for ten months in stainless steel. Minimal sulfur is added at bottling, and the wine carries eleven percent alcohol with a silky texture and slight spritz.

This red Bairrada wine blends fifty percent Touriga Nacional, thirty-five percent Baga and fifteen percent Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a violet colour, with spice, red berries, floral notes and field tones. The profile is balanced and lively, with marked acidity and persistent tannins. The estate covers about thirty-five hectares and was acquired by Caves São João.
Campolargo 2017 Bical Barrica Bairrada

Cinnamon, quince and green plum appear together in a perfumed profile with fresh fruit and acidity. The wine is light-bodied and it also has an almost oxidized character. Whole Bical grapes from clay-limestone soil are pressed and decanted before fermentation in used French oak barrels without temperature control. The wine remains in those barrels until bottling.

Colour and aroma show clear development, with almond, dry brush and candied orange. The palate has light toast with mature orange, hazelnut and fruit. It shows a younger character than the colour and aroma, with a distinctly fresh taste and a light profile. Made from Cercial in Bairrada, the white wine carries 11.5 percent alcohol.

Intense ruby, with resin, cedar and a cool balsamic lift set against distinctly saline, iodine-like detail. The palate is firm and substantial, shaped by fresh Atlantic acidity, yet the texture remains composed rather than severe. Savoury oak, dark fruit and mineral tension carry through a long, structured and age-worthy finish.

Mature yet lively, opening with cassis, raspberry and dried fig over pine-needle, coffee and toasted-wood notes. The palate is full and structured, with fresh acidity keeping the evolved fruit clear while settled tannins give the texture a composed shape. Earthy and savoury detail builds through the middle. The finish is persistent, carrying dried fruit, coffee, gentle spice and polished woodland complexity.
