Mayhem Wines 2024 Pinot Gris
White
Ripe peach and pineapple aromas accompany green apple, lime zest and citrus fruit. The palate is crisp and bright, with energetic acidity, softness and a long finish. Pinot Gris came from Ancient Lakes Vineyard in Washington State. The juice fermented for eight weeks in stainless steel; nineteen percent completed fermentation in seasoned puncheons. The wine then spent four months on fine lees before blending and bottling. Alcohol is 13 percent.
Orofino 2024 Few and Far Between Washington Series Marsanne
Canadian White
Pale gold with green reflections, the wine shows lemon, white peach, orchard blossom and beeswax. The palate is crisp and light-bodied, with a long finish. Marsanne from Ancient Lakes in Washington ferments and ages in stainless steel and French oak. Alcohol is 13 percent, residual sugar is two grams per litre, and production totals two hundred fifty cases.
Lake Breeze 2024 Albariño
American White
Bright and vibrant, with citrus, green apple, stone fruit and subtle mineral notes. The palate is crisp and clean, with tart but balanced acidity alongside melon and pear. Fruit comes from the Ancient Lakes appellation in central Washington’s Columbia Valley, and the wine was crafted on the Naramata Bench. Albariño grown in Washington was made into wine in British Columbia for this release.
Terravista Vineyards 2024 Proyecto Terruño Albariño Spanish Castle
American White
Delicate citrus and floral notes accompany lemon, white grapefruit, white lilies and a mineral character. The lighter-bodied Albariño is crisp and refreshing. Fruit from Spanish Castle Vineyard was hand-picked early on September 20, then whole-cluster pressed. Fermentation proceeded dry in stainless steel. The vineyard lies in the Ancient Lakes of the Columbia Valley, and the finished wine contains 12.2 percent alcohol.
