Rose, cherry and ripe plum aromas meet aniseed and a hint of cinnamon. From the Colonnello vineyard in Bussia, this Nebbiolo has a concentrated, generous palate, with powerful tannins and a fine mineral thread. Matured for twenty-eight months in oak casks, it carries smoky fruit, liquorice and floral notes into a long finish.

About Poderi Aldo Conterno
Aldo Conterno founded his own estate in 1969 after time in the United States and years working in the family winery. He bought the Favot property in Bussia, at Monforte d’Alba, and his sons Franco, Stefano and Giacomo now continue the work in the vineyards, cellar and business.
The estate has about twenty-five hectares of vineyards in Bussia, facing south and southwest at roughly 350 to 400 metres. Clay, calcareous marl and sand vary across the slopes. All the wines use estate-grown grapes picked by hand at low yields; the reds are neither fined nor filtered.
