Ruby-red colour carries ripe red-fruit and plum aromas. The dry, medium-bodied palate is balanced, with fine, supple tannins supporting juicy fruit. Cherry, raspberry, herbal spice and a touch of liquorice add further detail. Made from Sangiovese in the Terre di Chieti area of Abruzzo, the wine reaches 13 percent alcohol and offers a fruit-led regional expression.

Gran Sasso is an Abruzzo winery in the Fantini group. Vineyards for its regional reds lie in Chieti and the coastal hills around Roseto degli Abruzzi, between the Apennines and the Adriatic.
