Maison Lavau 2021 Côtes du Rhône

Blackcurrant and crushed raspberry appear in a fresh, fruit-led profile. Grenache accounts for sixty percent of the blend and Syrah forty percent. Fruit is selected from the southern Rhône between Montélimar and Nîmes. The grapes are destemmed and receive a cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by about fifteen days in temperature-controlled vats with pumping over. The wine ages in vats.

About Lavau
Formerly from St Emilion, the Lavau Family has been involved in winemaking for several generations. They have been making wine in the Rhône Valley for 40 years. Today the cellar is managed by brothers Benoit and Frederic Lavau. The goal from the beginning has been simple: produce classic, engaging yet affordable wines that are approachable whilst retaining that traditional refined aesthetic associated with French Wine.
