Domaine de la Rosière 2021 Jongieux Blanc

Delicate scents of apple blossoms, wet stone and pine honey accompany meadow flowers, lemon zest and assertive orchard apples. The palate is lively, with acidity and freshness. Made entirely from native Jacquère, the wine comes from Jongieux in Savoie. The vines grow on steep clay-limestone slopes in the French Alps, and the profile recalls mountain air and a pure stream.

About Domaine Carrel François et Fils
Jean Carrel established the domaine in Jongieux in 1882 with a single hectare of vines alongside other farming. Éric Carrel works with his daughter Théa, who joined him in 2024 as the family's sixth generation.
Today the family farms about fifteen hectares around Jongieux, on south- and southwest-facing glacial moraine soils of clay and limestone. The range includes Jacquère, Altesse, Gamay and Mondeuse. Plots accessible to machinery are farmed without chemical herbicides.
