Cloudy and pale crimson in colour, with redcurrant, wild raspberry, pomegranate, mustard seed, rosehip and wet-rock notes. Salinity runs through the profile, with lifted acidity and fine tannins. The blend combines Sangiovese, Grenache, Malbec, Sciacarello and Carignan from three Watervale vineyards. Components underwent indigenous-yeast fermentation before time in ceramic egg and neutral oak. The wine was bottled without fining or filtration.

About Koerner Wine
Koerner Wine is run by Damon and Maddy Koerner, a husband-and-wife team growing grapes and making wine across the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley. They own and farm three vineyard sites, including the Home Block at Lenswood and Vivian Vineyard in Clare, and also source grapes from family and neighbouring growers. Their winery occupies a former apple facility at Lenswood, which they bought in 2018 and converted for winemaking.
Each parcel is handled separately so that site, variety and vintage can shape the finished wine. Early picking, natural yeasts and minimal intervention are central to their approach, with an emphasis on freshness, texture and structure.
