Marion 2021 Borgo Valpolicella

Pale ruby colour with violet reflections accompanies small woodland fruit, cherry, perennial herbs and spice. The vineyards lie in Marcellise, outside the Classico zone, on hills east of Verona. The blend is sixty percent Corvina Grossa, twenty-five percent Corvina Gentile and fifteen percent Rondinella. Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed immediately. The vineyards are farmed sustainably, and the finished wine has twelve-point-five percent alcohol.

About Marion
Stefano and Nicoletta Campedelli bought their Marcellise property in 1986, restored its vineyards and released their first Marion wines in 1995. The family estate lies east of Verona, around an old villa and hillside vineyards outside Valpolicella's Classico zone.
