Yalumba 2019 The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon

$112.99

Deep crimson and plum tones accompany violet, ozone and exotic spice. The palate has poise and tension, with blackcurrant jubes, mulberry, bitter chocolate and defined tannins. The finish shows sweet dark fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon grows in Coonawarra’s red sandy loam over limestone. The vineyard blocks were planted in the mid-nineteen-nineties. Maturation lasts eighteen months in French and Hungarian oak, using new and older barrels.

About Yalumba
Samuel and Mary Smith founded Yalumba near Angaston in 1849. The fifth and sixth generations of the Hill-Smith family now work across its vineyards, winemaking and wider business. The winery has its own barrel-making workshop, along with a vine nursery supplying its vineyards and other Australian growers. Its wines include Viognier, Barossa Grenache and The Caley, a Cabernet–Shiraz blend.
