Deep ruby in colour, with complex and elegant fruit and spice. The wine is full-bodied and firm, with dense tannins and well-balanced acidity. Wild berry appears in the persistent finish. The blend comprises Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The wine spent fifteen months in barriques. Its dry, structured profile also includes red fruit, leather, wood and balsamic notes.

About Capezzana
An 804 rental contract records wine and olive oil at Capezzana, in Tuscany’s Carmignano hills. The Contini Bonacossi family bought the estate in 1926, and its fourth and fifth generations now share its direction. Alessandro and Vittoria Contini Bonacossi also assembled a major art collection; a group of 144 works passed to the Italian state in 1969 and is displayed at the Uffizi.
Organic vineyard work is paired with indigenous yeasts in the cellar. Its Carmignano wines bring Sangiovese together with Cabernet, following the area’s centuries-old blending tradition.
