Dark fruit and caramel from a Belgian-style quadrupel meet the deeper malt weight of a Munichwine base. Tawny-port barrel ageing adds a rounded, vinous richness, while rye-whiskey oak brings dry spice and structure. The palate is concentrated but composed, moving from raisin and toffee toward seasoned wood and a warming, gently bitter finish. Serve cool in a small glass with braised beef, blue cheese, fruitcake or dark chocolate.
