The palate begins with rounded sweetness before bitter orange, quinine and warm spice bring firmer definition. The finish is long, herbal and distinctly bitter, making this a versatile bridge between sweet vermouth and amaro. Serve chilled over ice with orange, lengthen with soda, or use in a Manhattan, Negroni or Boulevardier when a more assertive bitter edge is wanted.
