Marasca cherry distillate gives a clear, concentrated aroma framed by roasted nuttiness. The palate is smooth yet sharply defined, moving through dark chocolate and vanilla before a bright note of orange marmalade lifts the finish. Long infusion with cherries, leaves and branches, followed by copper-pot distillation and maturation in ash-wood vats, creates a layered balance of fruit, spirit and subtle wood. Serve neat after dinner, add to classic cocktails, or use sparingly with fresh fruit and desserts.

About Luxardo
Luxardo began in Zara in 1821, when Girolamo Luxardo founded a distillery to produce Maria Canevari’s maraschino recipe. After the original plant was destroyed during the Second World War, Giorgio Luxardo rebuilt the company in 1947 at Torreglia, near Padua.
Marasca cherries remain central to the house’s Maraschino Originale. Fruit, juice, leaves and other plant material are infused before copper-pot distillation and maturation. The wider range includes cherry liqueurs and preserves, sambuca, limoncello and bitters.
