Amaro Lucano
$59.99
Layered and bittersweet, with citrus peel, dried herbs and gentle floral notes over a dark caramel base. Gentian-like bitterness and liquorice sweetness meet spearmint, warm spice, nuts and subtle fruit, creating a broad palate that remains balanced rather than syrupy. More than thirty herbs contribute complexity, while the finish is long, cooling and softly bitter. Serve neat, over ice with orange peel, or use in a spritz and other cocktails that benefit from a measured herbal depth.

About Lucano 1894
Lucano began in Pisticci, Basilicata, in 1894, when pastry chef Pasquale Vena developed an amaro by blending more than thirty herbs. First made in the family’s biscuit shop, the liqueur went on to earn Lucano an appointment as supplier to the House of Savoy. Production stopped during the Second World War, and Pasquale’s sons Giuseppe and Leonardo rebuilt the business afterwards.
For the recipe’s 120th anniversary, the family returned to an old manuscript to create Anniversario, giving greater emphasis to wormwood, gentian and holy thistle.
