Wolfburn Northland Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
$121.99
Fresh orchard fruit and sea air open the nose, with citrus, cereal and a restrained trace of peat smoke behind them. The palate is smooth and warming, bringing sweet nuts, honeyed grapes and floral notes together with dried fruit and gentle spice. The style is light on its feet but not slight, with the coastal character giving definition to the malt. The finish is long and fresh, carrying honey, citrus and faint smoke. Serve neat or add a few drops of water.

About Wolfburn Distillery
William Smith founded the original Wolfburn distillery beside the Wolf Burn in Thurso in 1821. It had fallen into ruin by 1872; a new team built nearby in 2012 and distilled its first spirit on Burns Night in January 2013.
Milling, distilling and bottling take place at the Thurso distillery, with long fermentations and gentle distillation in copper pot stills. The whiskies explore American oak, Oloroso sherry casks and peat, and are bottled at natural colour without chill filtration.
