The palate is lively but balanced, with gentle smoke moving through toasted oak, vanilla and bright lemon zest. Coastal salinity and pepper build as the whisky develops, giving the fruit and sweetness a firmer edge. First-fill bourbon casks keep the profile direct and energetic. The finish is long, carrying light smoke, vanilla and lemon-pepper warmth. Add water gradually to open the citrus and soften the cask strength.
