Blackberry and dark plum are layered with Mediterranean herbs, cypress berry and a subtle balsamic note. The palate is rich and concentrated, but dense tannins are matched by precision and freshness, keeping the fruit defined through a long, vibrant finish. Savoury herbs and dark spice add complexity without heaviness. Decant generously and serve with roast beef, lamb, venison or aged Pecorino.

About Ornellaia
Ornellaia was established at Bolgheri in 1981, and the first vintage of its namesake wine followed in 1985. The Frescobaldi family owns the estate.
Individually managed parcels stretch between the Tyrrhenian coast and the hills, across soils of marine, alluvial and volcanic origin. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot lead the plantings, alongside Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and several white varieties.
