The palate is silky and poised, carrying crisp red fruit through bright acidity to a long, clean, savoury finish. About Chivite
The Chivite family’s winemaking history in Navarra is documented as far back as 1647. Claudio Chivite began exporting to Bayonne and Bordeaux in 1860. Later milestones included a new bottling plant in 1956 and a winemaking collaboration with Denis Dubourdieu beginning in 1993.
At Finca Legardeta near Villatuerta, 103 hectares of vines sit within a 245-hectare property of woodland, scrub and rolling slopes. Natural ground cover and planting adapted to the slopes are used to reduce erosion. David González leads the winemaking.
