A refined Cabernet-led Pessac-Léognan with cassis, black cherry and plum, layered with violet, tobacco, cedar, graphite and crushed stone. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, yet sleek and composed, with fine tannins and fresh acidity carrying the fruit into a persistent mineral finish. Decant before serving with roast beef, lamb or duck.

About Château Haut-Bailly
Vines were recorded on the Haut-Bailly hillside by 1461; today the estate is a classified growth of Graves, making red wine in Pessac-Léognan. The Sanders family began restoring the property in 1955, and Robert Wilmers bought it in 1998. The Wilmers family owns the estate, with Véronique Sanders managing it.
Four hectares planted in 1905 still hold six grape varieties growing together. They sit within a vineyard of sand, clay gravel and fossil-rich subsoil on a well-drained ridge. The team cultivates the soil, tends the vines by hand and harvests by hand.
