Château Cap de Faugères 2019 Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux
$46.99
A smooth right-bank Bordeaux red with dark berries, blackcurrant and wild fruit at the centre. Notes of cardamom and tonka bean add warm aromatic detail without overwhelming the fruit, while the palate remains balanced and supple. Rounded through the finish, it is a comfortable match for roast beef, grilled lamb, mushrooms or slowly braised dishes.

About Château Cap de Faugères
Château Cap de Faugères occupies clay-limestone slopes at Sainte-Colombe, just beyond Saint-Émilion in the Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Its history is entwined with the wider Faugères vineyard, once held by the Esquissaud and Guisez families. Silvio Denz acquired the property in 2005.
The same team works across Cap de Faugères and its Saint-Émilion sister estates. Merlot leads the vineyard, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc on the hillside's clay and limestone. The wines are vinified in stainless steel, with freshness and early drinking in mind.
