Orange blossom and jasmine rise from the glass, followed by dried apricot and a clear coastal note of sea salt and crushed stone. The palate is gently textural, with citrus, orchard fruit and savoury mineral detail held by fresh acidity. A quietly distinctive white for shellfish, grilled vegetables or young pecorino.

About Santa Maria Colleoni
Marino and Luisa Colleoni's Montalcino estate is also known as Podere Le Sante Marie. Luisa bought the house and land in 1989; after old vines emerged from the woodland, the couple restored the terraces and brought in their first harvest in 2000. Sangiovese is used for the estate's Rosso and Brunello, while its whites include Ansonica. The cellar favours minimal intervention.
